Day 8, Sunday 7th September 2014

Bishops Castle - Frodsham.

Everyone was focussed on the morning of Day 8, we were all aware from the outset the first 5 miles we were going to be a hard climb, to make it worse we could see the  hill rising from our campsite.

The view of the long climb
working hard up the 5 mile climb
Looking back as we crested the hill everyone very much
looking forward to the 8 miles of freewheeling downhill

Again the team were lucky with the weather,
Clear blue skies giving a warm dry day.

Riding along a quiet country road we came across the entrance to Pickforton Castle, Signs at the front showing the castle had several uses, Both the girls decided they would love to go to a wedding in the castle Andy and Beaky wanted to try the Land Rover Experience

Scarecrows were on show as we rode through the edge of a village

It was Andy's turn to get a puncture, the front wheel this time. Andy and Beaky
were well versed in the operation of tube replacement now

 Wheel out,
tyre off, inflate tube, check tyre for debris
New tube in, tyre on, inflate refit wheel and carry on.

The final surprise of the day as we approached a village called Hanmer we crossed the
border back into Wales for a few miles, as we left Wales we entered the county ofCheshire.

A welcome sight as we found Northwood Hall campsite the tent was up.
